My name is Maythana Paquete, but my friends know me as May. I’m a self-taught designer, artist, and technologist, largely due to YouTube and my insatiable love for learning: in almost any sector (ranging from pop culture to STEM). I’ve spent my career working in design and innovation across multiple sectors such as health, education, and enterprise technology. At the core, I love thinking through complex problems and breaking the pieces down into usable, effective, streamlined designs.

But, that's just a small piece of me! 

My family is from Guinea-Bissau, a small country in West Africa, with a population of just over 1.5 million. I guess you could say I'm one in a million 😉

I love reading (read: buying books), and really enjoy learning how to do things with my own two hands.  I change hobbies regularly, since I’m always considering “what’s the next thing I can learn?” While I can nerd out on any type of engineering, I’m also very passionate about fashion. My brain loves it; my bank account doesn’t!
